First Day Of Spring Say It Isn’t Snow!

The first day of spring is Sunday the 20th and we are seeing predictions of some snowfall up the Appalachian corridor towards the east coast.  We have had plenty of snow storms in March in the past, but we were hoping for a reprieve this year with the early warm temperatures.  Old man winter is going to take one last shot at us.  Some are predicting up to a foot of snow in some areas.  Others are predicting a dusting. It depends on the angle of the sun and the marginal temperatures, when all of this starts for anything to accumulate.  I am hoping for just some quick cold rain, with a little sloppy wet snow, and then we can get on with spring.  We have had storms in the past that dumped a foot of snow on us for one day and gone the next.  The fact does remain that we will see some cold temperatures (36 degrees for the low) over the weekend.  The next couple of days are going to be beautiful.  We will just have to deal with this one cold snap.  The long term forecast over a week ago looked nothing like the forecast now.  Such is the weather in Delaware.  There will be some heavy wave action but it is a little early to tell how bad.  NOAA is predicting up to seven foot waves on Sunday.
