First Annual Brandywine ShadFest

Celebrate the return of the American Shad in the Brandywine River

To celebrate the return of the American Shad in the Brandywine river due to dam removal projects. The Brandywine Conservancy and a host of sponsors are having their first annual event. It is great to see these fish back in their native waters after more than a century. Believe it or not shad are great to eat.
