Expect More Tidal Flooding Tonight On The Beaches To The Inland Bays
Everywhere will flood tonight a little worse than today for Route 1, the beaches, and the inland bays
Since the inland bays are already full and then some. Low tide looked like high tide this afternoon. It looked more like a higher than normal full moon tide. Most of the water hasn’t left the bays. This will allow places to not only flood again tonight, but much faster than this morning. High tide is at 8 PM at the Indian River inlet, and about 10 PM or later for the inland bays. Route 1 will probably start flooding about 9:30 PM if not earlier.

“Water is gonna come in a hellin’ tonight” Just be careful driving on the roads that flooded this morning. Expect Long Neck road to flood about 10 PM. Ocean city and a few areas are already seeing tidal flooding. Deldot has signs in place for the low lying areas that flooded along route 1. There is a lot of traffic headed south right now on Coastal Highway.
