DSF’s Summer Surf Fishing Slam Series 10 Results And Grand Finale

Saturday was the last of the DSF’s Summer Surf Fishing Slam Series. This is a FREE surf fishing tournament. Surf anglers have been competing every other weekend all summer for prizes donated by our event sponsors … DS Custom Tackle, Fishbites, WMF Marine, Iron Hill Brewery, Crooked Hammock Brewery, Helly Hansen, Inland Motor Sports, Easy Speak Distillery, Icehouse Bait and Tackle. See everyone today at 2 PM at Crooked Hammock to pick up awards. I’ll be in there somewhere at one of the bars.

We watched anglers compete all summer for position in not only each series individually, but the overall leader board as well. The fishing was tough, because it always is when you are trying to actually catch fish for size and points. Ever notice the fishing is great the day before and after a tournament? Congratulations to Michele Trotter you killed it in this tournament. That fisherwoman can catch! Kudos too for the killer bait “recipe”

We are already looking forward to next year and making plans. The slam series will still be biweekly. Possibly looking at weekly. What we are adding is surf fishing days to each series. Anglers will log into the website and pick the day they want to fish, Monday to Saturday. There will be a daily card for pictures. This way the weekly surf anglers who can’t make the weekends can participate as well.
