DSF’s Summer Surf Fishing Slam Series 7 Is Saturday

The DSF’s Summer Surf Fishing Slam Series 7 is tomorrow. The fishing has been pretty good in the surf for many anglers. The catches are bigger so hopefully we will see some decent numbers tomorrow. Anyone can fish the Summer Slam the rules are here.

We will meet at 2 PM on Sunday at Crooked Hammock to give out prizes. I have everyone’s T-shirts and hoodies with me as well as extras. You can also order them online at DS Custom Tackle. So far it has been a fun tourney this summer. Everyone is having fun getting frustrated trying to get a fish on the board. I know, I know … the fish are smaller on tourney day and huge the next.

The overall leaders for the grand finale have been switching up every other week, but Michele Trotter has held the lead. The other positions have changed each tournament. The playing card for pictures will be announced tonight, after it gets dark around 9 PM. Some of the anglers are getting creative with their pictures.

Red Drum 20 to 27 inches can be scored. You cannot keep or score a fish out of the slot. Doing so would be illegal possession of a fish in the state of Delaware and you could be fined by DNREC. 27 inch red drum will score 28 inches for the release
