Day Three Of The WMO Catch 23 Heads Out With 103 Boats
In case you are living under a rock, Michael Jordan, his boat the Catch 23, and crew are fishing the White Marlin Open this year. This morning they headed out with 103 boats to compete on day three of the White Marlin Open. They will have to fish today and the last two days. At this point the question of whether or not Michael Jordan will be here and fish has been answered.
The scales yesterday did not see as many fish as anticipated with the amount of boats that headed out to fish, 335 boats to be exact, with 2,345 anglers and crew . There were however a few turnovers at yesterday’s scale action. A new White Marlin in second place, but worth more than the first place marlin. A new third place marlin came to the scales too.
With Catch 23 potentially coming in today with a fish, the scales will be a mob scene the next few days. I recommend watching it online on the WMO webcam, scales open at 4 PM. You get to see a lot of the scale action that way. You certainly see the fish before the crowd does.
The weather could be a factor this afternoon for spectators and anglers returning, so keep an eye on the sky. Ocean City flooded yesterday from that cloud burst. Rain is no big deal, the lightening on the other hand.
