DOVER (June 28, 2013) – Two DNREC boat ramps will be inaccessible for most of July because of construction projects to improve them for public use. Access to the Collins Beach Boat Ramp near Smyrna and its parking area and the Rosedale Beach Boat Ramp near Millsboro and its parking area will be closed from July 8 through July 31 to allow contractors to complete parking lot improvements and upgrades, DNREC’s Division of Fish and Wildlife announced today. Both projects are expected to be complete, with full access restored, on Aug. 1.

Boaters who regularly use the Collins Beach ramp for access to the Delaware River are asked to use the Woodland Beach Boat Ramp, located on Woodland Beach Road in Woodland Beach, or the Augustine Boat Ramp on Route 9 in Port Penn.

Boaters who regularly use the Rosedale Beach ramp for access to the Indian River Bay are asked to use the Masseys Landing Boat Ramp, located on Long Neck Road in Long Neck.
