Delaware Local Launches Surf Captain, For Forecasting Surf Conditions.

  People always ask how do you know what the surf looks like before you get there. Well aside from the multitude of webcams at the beach. I use the surf condition sites. Swell info hasn’t been as reliable as it used to be in the past. Now we have a new kid on the block, Surf Captain. Using this surf condition site will give you an idea what you are going to see at the beach and how much weight you will need to hold bottom. The selector is used for each area or state at the top. Delaware local, Micah Sklut, has just launched SurfCaptain.com, which provides 16 day surf forecasts. You can expect a spot on forecast for Delmarva, as that is where Sklut is from. 
You might recognize the forecast format from Sklut’s previous work, Swellinfo.com. Micah said “Everything I could think of making better on Swellinfo, I have put into Surf Captain”

Surf Captain’s first blog post writes: “We are brand new on the block for surf forecasting, and we think you are really going to like our forecasts. We are not trying to become the next surfing media empire, just create really awesome and easy to use surf forecasts.  We are starting out with United States forecasts, as that is where we are based, and will be expanding around the globe in time.”
