Boaters must now actively fish to be on Delaware waters

DNREC has a new rule for all you boaters and crabbers this year. If you are not actively fishing you will not be allowed on the water in Delaware. “We have so many boaters on the water that we decided it would be safer to require them to fish. It should help alleviate the boat traffic, just like the drive on beaches in the parks in the summer. Enforcement won’t be an issue, we are putting more seasonal officers on Jet Skis with white helmets. The Spaceball patrol will be on point this year.” said a DNREC spokesperson.
