Boat Runs Aground on Keybox Beach

Earlier today a boat ran aground on Keybox beach in Delaware Seashore State park.  From DNREC fish and wildlife enforcement “Fish & Wildlife Natural Resources Police officers are on scene of a boat accident. A 28-foot vessel has run a ground on Key Box Beach. Investigation is ongoing. ”   All passengers are fine, it is possible the vessel was taking on water and the boaters ran it aground to avoid sinking.  Now they (DNREC) are trying to determine how to get it off the beach.  When we have more details on this incident we will be sure to let you know.  In the mean time, remember to always air down before boating on our beaches.
