Beach Plum Island State Park Is Open

I checked out Beach Plum Island State Park today, the beah is open to drive on.  I would not recommend driving on the beach for a little while.,   The debris is everywhere, I moved six boards with nails off the drive on access, I didn’t even attempt to drive on.  The debris is thick and some areas are covered with sand, your vehicle could easily sink into the sand in many spots.  The water is dark colored from thick debris and looks like soup.  This will all clear up in a matter of days as the tide washes the beaches off just be careful of debris.  Not sure how the fishing is the water was dead low tide when I was there and very shallow.  Broadkill Beach has lost some sand and I imagine it is in front of beach plum right now, but that is just a guess.  Pictures in the album below.
