Be Careful Surf Fishing In Fog

The worst sunburns happen when you least expect them

Today it was foggy at the beach. It feels great, nice and cool. That is a lie. While it may feel great while surf fishing, you are being cooked by UV rays and you can’t even feel it. Much like ants under a magnifying glass.
By the time you do realize it, way too late. You’re burnt. Always wear pants and long sleeves or lots of sun screen on foggy days at the beach. Cover your face with a large hat or sunscreen. Even as the fog burns off it is still intensifying the sunburn.
This one time, my feet swelled up so bad I couldn’t wear shoes for a week. I didn’t cover my feet on a foggy day surf fishing while barefoot in the water all day. Cooked feet, wearing socks helps. Might look dumb but it works or those water shoes..
