I know for some this is old news, but for many coming this weekend this is necessary news. This just keeps getting worse, hoping a good storm will clean it out.
Chris Driscoll of Driscoll Drones got some shots of the Baker’s Channel entrance he went through yesterday in Rehoboth Bay. At low tide it is really shallow, old news for everyone here, but new news for those coming, and a hazard to all.

His boat made one of those prop marks along the bottom in the pictures. “There was less than 2 feet of water when I went through. I’m going back tomorrow to take some video and pictures.” He will have that video up later or tomorrow.” … Chris Driscoll … “No water on the red side towards the island either. “

We let the Coast Guard know today and DNREC just in case they could get out the word to boaters. Baker’s Channel is a state maintained channel. Everyone who needs to know has been told except all of you boaters. So heads up, the channel is very shallow at low tide.
