April’s Full Pink Supermoon Moon Is Coming

April’s full supermoon moon is known as the full pink moon, and it is the first full moon of spring.
The moon will be full on April 7th, at 10:35 PM.
Full moons are named for many signs from nature, especially the spring moons. Anglers and farmers rely on these full moons for signs of food and fishing. The full spring moon also marks when Easter will occur.

The full pink moon is named for the wild ground phlox or pink moss (herb) that is one of the first spring flowers.  Native American tribes also referred to April’s full moon as the Sprouting Grass Moon, the Egg Moon and the Fish Moon.
