The 2020 Lewes Polar Bear Plunge On Super Bowl Sunday Set New records This Year. Raising over a million dollars.

After the weekly beach clean up today we hit Rehoboth beach. Parking is a breeze when you come in via the beach on the Lewes Rehoboth Highway. The boards were already packed with people at 11 AM. I ran around talked to a lot of friends and the Auxiliary Coast Guard crews. Checking out all of the costumes is always the best part of the plunge.
My favorite costumes this year were the two Star Wars crews. It was especially hilarious too see a Jawa wearing a rubber ducky floatie ring. I need these crews to come judge the May The Fish Be With You surf fishing tournament.

Jon Buzby … The 2020 Lewes Polar Bear Plunge raised a record 1,018,000 for Special Olympics Delaware. The air temperature was 42 degrees and the water also 42 when a record 3,733 participants of all ages plunged into the Atlantic Ocean in Rehoboth Beach at 1 p.m. on Feb. 2.
