Delaware State Park Surf Fishing Tags Will Run Out Soon

Delaware State Parks just sent out a robocall informing everyone they are nearing 15,500 surf tags issued. Once that number is achieved they will limit which parks offices tags issue Delaware Surf Fishing Tags. The number of Delaware Surf Fishing tags parks can issue each year is limited to 17,000 tags. Last year there was a little over 22,000 tags in circulation. If everyone bought two year tags, that would allow for a grand total of 34,000 tags in circulation.

This is an important notification from Delaware State Parks regarding the sale of surf-fishing permits.
With an annual sales cap of 17,000 permits, we wanted to notify you that current sales are nearing 15,500 for the year. To effectively manage the sales volume once the 15,500 plateau is reached, sales will only be conducted at the following state park office locations until the 17,000 permit cap is reached:
Bellevue State Park
Cape Henlopen State Park
Indian River Life-Saving Station
Killens Pond State Park

All other park locations, online and retail agents will be closed. All surf-fishing permit sales for 2020 will conclude once the 17,000 cap is reached.
