Skydiver Sets New Record Without A Parachute (video)

Luke Aikins, yesterday jumped out of a plane at 25,000 feet and landed in a huge ten thousand square foot net suspended by cranes.  He didn’t use a parachute.  I have gone sky diving, it scared the ever loving hell out of me, it is exhilarating.  I cannot imagine what was going through this man’s head as he was plummeting towards earth, without a parachute.  Aside from the sheer nerve and will power it takes to exit a plane without a parachute at twenty five thousand feet, it takes some incredible skills to land in such a small target.  If you haven’t been skydiving you have to try just to see what I am talking about.  I had a hard enough time jumping out of a perfectly good airplane with a parachute.  Landing on the drop zone target was difficult.  Congratulations Luke, that is one serious record I don’t think anyone will break anytime soon.
