Learn To Fish In Long Neck

Every winter at the Long Neck Elementary school in the cafeteria by Dan Hellman and Larry Grimm.  They have six classes every year, on Tuesday nights at 6 PM and charge $10 for the series of classes to help pay for the cafeteria access.  I have been meaning to check these out for the last two years and finally made it last week.  Dan always invites me, and I am usually too busy to attend.  There are three more classes left for the month of February for this year.  Last week George Mood from DMS talked about surf fishing.  It was  great presentation on the basics of surf fishing and the equipment involved.

This week on Tuesday evening, Patrick Conroy from PC Rods in Milton is going to talk about rod building, modifications, and repair.  He is going to show us how to fix a broken guide and a few other tricks of the trade so to speak.  If you want to learn more about rod building, you should check this class out.  On February 14th there will be a fishing flea market or swap meet that evening.
