Hurricane Sandy update for Delaware … the coast is going to get slammed with floods

3r's beach, delaware seashore state park, hurricane sandy
This is 3R’s beach Saturday at 9 a.m. incoming tide and it is going to get worse, the Indian River and Rehoboth bays look calm and that is very  deceiving

From a friend ….

Hey rich the Delaware National Guardsmen have been mobilized.  This is the time to use the power of DSF to warn people if they live in low lying areas or along the coast to get out now this storm is nothing to mess around with. Anybody with a large social media output that could spread the word on how serious this storm is ….  Yeah rich this is a pretty dangerous storm, and there’s going to be a significant storm surge and 10 + inches of rain.  So anybody in low lying areas and along the coast need to take precautionary measures as soon as possible.

Thanks!  Consider it done.

Okay gang, you heard the man … The bays are stacked with water.  Cupola Park is already flooding in the playground.  New Road at kite beach is going to flood the parking lot, the bay looks very calm that is an illusion.  The beaches are insane with monster waves, and people are actually surf fishing.  Indian River Inlet is the same way I just watcched the Coast Guard take the cutter into the front breakers and that was wild we have film and and a ton of pictures.  People are catching fish at the rail (Tautog and shorty stripers)  This is going to be a serious flood problem, regardless of the strength of Hurricane Sandy.  The flood waters are all ready to jump land.  DSF will keep you updated as much as we can.

Stay safe and hunker down.

Fish On!!
