The other day I spoke to Anthony Greene of Georgetown Delaware.  He is a very upbeat young man and his friends Darin and Lauren Ruark started a Go Fund Me… Anthony’s Life Changer,  to help him acquire an Offroad Track Chair.  Anthony lost the use of his legs in a motorcycle accident several years ago (2007), but that has not slowed down his passion for the outdoors and activities.  Not long ago he rode a motorcycle for the first time.  Anthony, “I went to my friend’s house and asked him to borrow his dirt bike and a few ratchet straps, then did some wheelies and took a  ride”  The feeling from that ride motivated he and his friends to build him a dirt bike so he could ride again.  Anthony loves the outdoors, is an avid hunter and angler.  He grew up as an outdoorsman, and continues to this day.  He is also a competitor in the International Bow Hunting Organization.  One of the issues he is having is getting into the woods to hunt, I can only go so far into the woods with a regular wheel chair.”   He puts a huge effort into doing so by himself all the time.  He can’t hit the beaches like he used to in a regular chair.  Anthony … “This track chair would allow me to get into the woods and fish the beaches, the cool thing is it can actually stand me up!”   Anthony’s friends decided to start the Go Fund Me … Anthony’s Life Changer after he tried Darin Ruark’s chair.  Anthony is old school, he lives by the mantra “You have to get it or earn it yourself.”  He never asks for help, even when he is trying to get four hundred yards into the woods to hunt.  If you could, please help this young man in his pursuit of the outdoors’ life many of us take for granted.  The Go Fund Me is set up to end of the month of June due to a possible warranty change for the Track Chair.

Darin Ruark writes in the Go Fund Me description … “Anthony is an avid outdoorsman and this chair will help him access everything outdoors. He is an incredible person with a will, drive and heart bigger than anything imaginable. He is a paraprofessional that works with special needs kids, he continually gives back to the community, and now it is our turn to give back to him! He deserves this more than any person I know and your contributions will help make this dream a reality!  I would love to raise the money for this chair by June of 2016 and I cannot thank everyone enough for sharing this and getting the word out there! Whether it is 1 dollar or 1000, we will make this goal happen and help an incredible person get this amazing chair! ”

Anthony currently works at the Howard T. Ennis school  in Georgetown,  with special needs children.  If you can help him out he would greatly appreciate it, you can donate to the Go Fund Me… Anthony’s Life Changer.  Thank You.
