The European model for Irma is putting her off the coast of Delmarva the tenth to the twelfth of September. If that happens we will see some serious storm surge and a lot of rain and wind. Lots of rain and wind. We are going to see a ridiculous amount of storm surge regardless how close Hurricane Irma gets if she does come up the coast by any means. The beaches will take a beating. So be prepared for that wax those surf boards it’s going to get nautical out front. The winds and rain alone will be issues for coastal flooding.
Hopefully if Irma does come up this way it follows the European model we see now and tracks even farther east and goes out to sea. Instead of making landfall on Delmarva. We will have to wait and see but so far the European model is what has been very reliable in the past. If you want to follow the Euro model updates go to this page on the tropical Tidbits website. Use the different tabs to select options or specifics of the predictions and lots of other information. We will keep updating you if anything changes.
