No not the movie star. Tropical depression eleven has upgraded to tropical storm Joaquin. It is getting bigger and slowing down which is good news for possible weekend fishing and adventures. The storm may or may not move out to sea, it is too early to tell. Regardless the winds will be stronger (65 mph) and the waves bigger. That also remains to be seen since the final path has yet to be determined. Hopefully it is a quick hit and we can get back to fishing. Which is better than a Noreaster sitting on top of us for several days. When that happened last time there was very bad flooding a few years ago. As of this morning at 5 AM we are looking at early Sunday morning being the worse day for Delaware. As usual this could all change as the jet streams start pushing this around or pull it into the coast. That too remains to be seen. Best thing to do is be prepared and don’t let this mess up your weekend plans. Flooding will be an issue regardless of how this hits us, but the amount of flooding will depend on that as well. Predicting the weather this early is like trying to butter toast with a fork, you can do it, but it is a pain in the butt.
Fish On!!
