Take A Long Walk Off A Short Pier In Rehoboth Beach

Rehoboth Beach’s Canal Access Dock Tour

Now you really can take a long walk off a short pier in Rehoboth Beach. The new canal access dock in Rehoboth is almost ready to open to the pubic. The switchback to get to the dock below is bit of a walk with benches along the way and information signs.

It is a great idea, and needed for the the area. The docks are enough to drop off and pick up. Especially for the water taxis serving the inland bay area communities. This will be a good alternative to visit Rehoboth, other than driving route 24 to route 1. At least it will be scenic.
There is a kayak launch and a rack for yakers to store heir kayaks. I don’t know if these will be like charged parking spots, or how that will work. I am hoping they allow people to fish off the docks. Be a good place for kids to fish in the summer. We will see what the final use and how to rules are once the city gets everything finalized.
