While we were cleaning up Fenwick Island State Park today, by the way you people need to curb your dogs. There is dog poop from the Fenwick Bathhouse to Bethany Beach. Particularly in front of the big houses along the beach.
Anyway, we came up with a solution for the Save Our Beach View folks. The wind farms will be built, that is a fact.
The view solution hit us like a ton of cargo containers full of bricks, an epiphany if you will. Ships, those great big ass ships are the answer.
There are a lot of ships off our coast. Now if we could just get the anchorage moved so that there were a few strategically parked out front. You will never see anything beyond them. We figure since everyone is good with seeing ships all the time, this would work just fine. The kids really enjoy seeing ships. Once the port is done up north it can handle more as well as bigger ships.
As a bonus. The lights of these big ships at night would block out any light from the turbines as well. Modern problems, require modern solutions.
Since the turbines are going to be built whether these folks like it or not, we may as well come up with a way they can’t see them at all. Ships, great big ass ships parked out front. I think the big Dole ship and few car carriers would be perfect. They come in lovely colors too. We could even go a step further and sell advertising on the sides of the ships, kind of like the banner planes. A huge advertisement for Porn Hub would be real classy, right next to a Hooters advertisement.
The possibilities are limitless. Not to mention the fishing would be epic, not only at the turbines, but these floating structures as well.
