Never seen the old coast guard tower base this exposed since Sandy

This is the old base to the coast guard tower that was at the Indian River inlet back In the day ( March of 1964?) when the new station was built that replaced the lifesaving station. I need to find a history guy at the Coast Guard, their sites aren’t working.

Over the years the old base is covered and uncovered with sand to the top and even covered completely. Then storms will expose it more and more. The wave and wind action will recover it from sand added by the sand relocation program. This is the most I have seen it exposed since Superstorm Sandy. Every nor’easter, hurricane, to coastal storm works their sand moving magic.
