The Massey’s Ditch Dredging project has been underway for several weeks. The Indian River Bay channel has been finished, now crews are south of Middle Island. That sand bar below middle island specifically is also being worked on. The project is over budget by about $800,000 and will be completed by February 24th.

The north beach at the Indian River Inlet has grown considerably with all the new sand added. We have been watching it grow on the DelDOT traffic web cams on the bridge towers.

Baker’s Channel is now clear at the shoaled in area. We are starting a pool on how long that will last. The dredged section is connecting the old channel section, that looks rather filled in as well.
