Latest Delaware Surf Fishing Tag Online Auction Nets Parks $32,725

Dave Wilson auctioning off Delaware Surf Fishing tag number 2 held by John Atkins. John is responsible for getting the bill passed to let the parks do the numbered tags again.

The second online auction for Delaware Surf Fishing numbered tags closed last night.  According to Ray Bivens director of Delaware State Parks.  “This last auction raised $32,725 bringing the grand total to over $213,000.  There have been 44 tags in all sold so far ”   One bidder in this last auction dropped $24,050.99 on seven tags.  The highest winning bid on the second auction was $5,499.99 for Delaware Surf Fishing tag number 22.  Now why would someone buy that many tags, most likely for the collectible value with hopes in the future they will increase in value over time, just like the numbered Delaware state license plates.  The next auction has started, and closes  Tuesday, Nov. 17 at 7 p.m. The tags available in this auction are the following …
