…WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 5 PM THIS AFTERNOON TO
MIDNIGHT EST TONIGHT…
WHAT…Snow expected. Total snow accumulations of up to three
inches.
WHERE…Portions of southern New Jersey, southeast
Pennsylvania, northeast Maryland and northern Delaware.
WHEN…From 5 PM this afternoon to midnight EST tonight.
IMPACTS…Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous
conditions could impact the evening commute.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Precipitation will move in from southwest
to northeast late this afternoon. It will likely start as a
brief period of rain before quickly transitioning to snow from
northwest to southeast through early this evening. Snowfall
rates through the first half of this evening could be moderate
at times leading to visibilities below a mile along with a quick
accumulation of snow on road surfaces. The snow will taper off
west to east around midnight.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for central Delaware, northern
Delaware, southern Delaware, northeast Maryland, central New Jersey
and southern New Jersey.
A period of snow is expected for DelMarVa and southern and eastern
New Jersey Tuesday evening as a system pushes offshore. Right now the
forecast is for up to an inch of snow, however if a period of
heavier snowfall rates occurs the totals will be higher.
Additionally, behind that system strong winds on Wednesday are
expected with gusts up 45 mph.

* WHAT…Snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 1 to 3 inches. (4 & 5 inches) were showing on a few models but not forecasting it unless all models come into agreement.
* WHERE…northeastern and central Maryland as well as the Baltimore Metropolitan area.
* WHEN…From noon to 7 PM EST Tuesday. The heaviest snow is expected between 3 PM and 6 PM Tuesday afternoon into early Tuesday evening.
* IMPACTS…Snow-covered and slippery roads are expected, especially northwest of Interstate 95 into the evening commute.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Snow rates could exceed one inch per hour with visibility around a one-half mile at times
