Not an hour ago Cape Henlopen State Park opened the closed section at Gordons Pond. The piping plovers fledged this week so now the beach is all clear to fish. This section was closed for the piping plovers to nest. This year the nest did fine, as opposed to last year when it was destroyed by a storm. Conveniently before the fourth of July weekend on the same year they introduced the no stacking rule for parking. Not so much luck this year and we have had to squeeze into smaller areas. Now I can go fish that “spot” I like in that area.
