June 18th we are hosting the first annual Delaware Jet Ski Fishing Tournament at Holts Landing State Park. The tournament is hoping to raise money for the Childrens Beach House in Lewes, DE. They have sponsorhsips available for any business that would like to get involved. This is full tax wrote off since all monies go through the Children’s Beach House. You can see the sponsorship levels at this link and sign up for one today. Remember this is a tax write off and will help a great organization.
The rules are simple. You just need to have a fishing license, a fishing rod,gear, bait, and of course … a jet ski. Start time is 7 AM and lines out of the water by 3 PM then meet back at Holts Landing. Registration costs $25 Prior to Tournament or $30 the Day-of Event. It is preferred that you preregister so we have a rough idea how many are participating and registration the day of will be a bit hectic at the boat ramp in Holts Landing. Fishing boundaries are limited to the Indian River Bay and Rehoboth bays. No one is to fish beyond the Coast Guard station at IRI. We will have weigh stations set up on a couple of boats, depending on how many people we have participate. We want this to be a catch and release tournament.
Cash prizes will be …. First prize is $500, Second prize is $250 and Third prize is $125 also there will be some items from a local sponsor to be announced this week. We have a few other things planned during the tournament at the park so stay tuned.
