Well it was a productive day in the surf once again, for small fish. The usual summer fair, but a few people made the board. Many did not. Do we need to move these to Sunday when the fish get bigger?
Surf fishing is better on the southern beaches it seems. The last few days the fish from Conquest area and below have been bigger than Cape Henlopen. However there are plenty of fish at Cape, just smaller it seems. The pompano catches are definitely better on the south beaches. When I say south beaches I mean below and including the Indian River Inlet area.
We had forty-nine check in and only six made the board. It was a tough day. “We spent most of the day pulling in little fish” .. Suzanne Martin and crew …
