The heavy lift vessel the ZHEN Hua 25 is scheduled to pass under the Delaware Memorial bridge tonight. The cranes’ tops are 188 feet and 3 inches from the water surface. To be able to pass under the bridge this has to be done at a dead low tide.
I imagine it has to be perfect weather conditions, last thing you want is a wind or storm surge. Dead calm water would be best. The closing will occur at 11:45 p.m. Tuesday and 12:15 a.m. Wednesday.
The bridge will close for the return trip on April 2nd at 5:15 am. The Zhen Hua 25 will have another crane aboard. That could mess up a few early morning commuters, just in time for the day after April fools day.
Fish On!
