Weekend Warrior Weather Worries

Tropical Storm Gordon remnants will hit the east coast of Delmarva around Friday late night.  Gordon is coming to town for the end of summer after party with nor’easter like conditions.  We are going to deal with wind and big waves.  That is the prediction so far, but you know how the weather changes around here.   Minor coastal flooding could be an issue due to the new moon during high tides.  Beach erosion will be a concern from big waves, but that is nothing new.

If you planned on boat fishing or surf fishing keep a close eye on the weather. Granted it always changes, but in this case we are going to get some nasty weather all weekend into Wednesday.  I would not make any plans to get on the water.   Friday will be okay and today looks great, just hot.

If you do go onto the beach, watch it at high tide, swales can fill in fast and water will most likely push farther onto the beach at high tide.

Hurricane Florence will make the beginning of the week rough too but that is still too far out to predict accurately.
