Some Of The Drive On Beaches Are Open

Some of the drive on beaches are still closed to vehicles, but a couple just opened.  Gordon’s pond and Herring point was just opened to drive on.   High tide is still washing over the entire beach in areas so be careful. I am sure parks is concerned for your safety and their ranger’s safety.   High tide in Rehoboth in the picture is most of the way up the beach, which is built up higher than most park beaches.   We will let you know when we know about any more openings.   .

Hopefully by midweek all of the beaches are open.  Delaware seashore State Park says they will evaluate those beaches tomorrow, including Fenwick Island State Park.
