This is going to cause a bit of a back up on these roads next week, but that gnarly curve on a hill, you know which one that I speak of, is where the pipe is being fixed. Hopefully the road curve can be fixed a bit too, that is one dangerous spot, especially at night. Mount Joy road and Hollyville have become quite the thoroughfare the past few years. The increasing amount of housing complexes popping up are not helping with the congestion of traffic. I would expect a delay in construction (just a guess) with Tuesday’s snowstorm that should dump a good amount of coastal snow on us.

Removal and Replacement of Crossroad Pipe Will Require the Closure of Mt. Joy Road
Detour sign at Mount Joy and Hollyville Rd.
Millsboro – The Department of Transportation (DelDOT) would like to alert motorists that the removal and replacement of a crossroad pipe will impact the following road:
Mt. Joy Road between Townsend Road and Hollyville Road
7 a.m. on Monday, February 8 until 7 p.m. on Friday, February 12, pending weather
Rain Dates: 7 a.m. on Friday, February 12 until 3 p.m. on Tuesday, February 16
Westbound: Mt. Joy Road onto Townsend Road to Harmony Road to Hollyville Road and return to Mt. Joy Road.
Reverse for eastbound detour.
